Halloween in Windsor

WINDSOR’S PUMPKIN PARTY returns Oct 30th 2010.

Get into the groove in Windsor this weekend and join in the annual seasonal fun of a festive Halloween pumpkin party.

That’s the Halloween invitation from the Windsor and Eton Town Partnership and Windsor Royal Shopping as the town gears up to celebrate its fifth feast of All Hallows with a mouth-watering menu of activities for all ages on Saturday October 30.

The fun starts at 1pm and has been extend another hour until 4pm at Windsor Royal Shopping with pumpkin sculpting workshops run by Windsor Contemporary Arts Fair organisers Deborah James and Sarah McAllister…with prizes (including a one day free family ticket to Legoland) for the best carved pumpkin faces.

Internationally-renowned storyteller David England and magician Steve G will bring alive the true spirit of Hallowe’en with festive stories and magical mayhem throughout the afternoon - and a pumpkin hunt and magic shows will add to the party atmosphere.

Rendez-vous blue badge guides have come in on the action and will be devising a special new pumpkin hunt for all willing participants to do.

All children are asked to attend in fancy dress as there will be a competition and prizes awarded to the best dressed party goer (age ranges are under 5’s, 5 - 8 and 8 - 12 year olds).

Prizes for both the best carved pumpkin and the pumpkin hunt will be presented on the day from 3.30pm.
