Walk with Beefy in Windsor
There’s less than one month to go until cricket legend Sir Ian Botham comes to Windsor as part of his 12th charity walk to raise funds for leading cancer charity Leukaemia Research - and for the first time people will be given the opportunity to walk with him.

On 11 October, former England cricketer and national hero Sir Ian will be walking 10 miles in Windsor Great Park to beat childhood leukaemia.

Childhood leukaemia is the single largest cancer-killer in children and Leukaemia Research needs over £100million to commit to new research in the next five years.

Beefy will start his walk at Windsor’s M&S store and head to Windsor Great Park, where those who have registered for the event will walk with Sir Ian around the Park, with fantastic views of Windsor Castle.

There’s still time to sign up and join the walk, organise a Beefy Kwik Cricket tournament or keep a donation box in a shop or business. Those who take part in exceptional fundraising will have the opportunity to present their cheque personally to Ian at the start of his walk in Windsor.

Beefy said: “I know that, with the people of Windsor supporting me, the walk will be a great success. Every penny counts and we can beat childhood leukaemia if we work together to raise as much money as possible. I’m looking forward to coming to Windsor and meeting those who have worked hard in their fundraising”.

For more details on how you can get involved and have the opportunity to meet Ian in Windsor, visit www.bothamwalk.com call 020 7685 5133 or email bothamwalk@lrf.org.uk
