THE ROLE
Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity. Your role will be supporting the Head of Communications, Junior PR Manager and wider UK marketing team in the development and implementation of effective PR planning and PR campaigns across all Nintendo hardware and software formats. (Including launches and re-promotions.)

You will be the key first contact for all PR and Marketing media queries. You will evaluate potential PR opportunities and direct and field calls. In addition you will collate and circulate press coverage in gaming websites, media, competitor’s coverage etc.

Your responsibilities will also include managing the assets library and supervising code management.
We want you to work closely with our PR agency, and develop a powerful partnership with them.

You will be working as part of an expanding department of people who are passionate about what they do and where exceptionally high standards are the norm.

Person specification
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• 2:1 degree – essential. Marketing or Business Studies or Public Relations - preferable
• Knowledge of the basic principles of marketing and PR- essential
• Knowledge of the games industry and Nintendo products – preferable
• Marketing or PR experience (could be gained whilst on a 1 year university placement) within a fast moving environment – essential (the entertainment industry, video games or technology - preferable)
• Experience of working in partnership with, and managing, agencies and third party suppliers – desirable

SKILLS
• Microsoft Office - High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, Acrobat & Photoshop
• Project management skills: Able to plan and organise multiple projects
• Communication: Able to create clarity and understanding and open two-way communication processes. Confident and articulate communicator
• Drive & energy: Proactive with a can-do attitude, able to seize opportunities to advance the business
• Team work: Able to contribute positively towards an environment that actively values openness and utilises the strengths and skills of colleagues and builds trust between colleagues
• Continuous Improvement: Ability to encourage a high achieving performance culture and to personally drive continuous improvement
• Analytical thinking and decision-making: Applies analytical rigour and depth to decisions.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Must be an enthusiastic, able to use own initiative
• Ready to work hard
• Able to work in a fast-paced and busy office environment
• Genuine interest in video games market – desirable
• Genuine desire to pursue a career in PR – essential
